SUMMARY:AI for Marketing & Social Media — a practical workshop for small
 business
DESCRIPTION:Most small businesses know AI could help with their marketing.
Very few have had someone sit down and show them how. That's what this mor
ning is for.\nJoin us at Ludgate Hub for a practical two-hour workshop on
using AI for your marketing and social media\, run by Patrick Kiely of Flu
x Learning.\n\nThere's no coding and no jargon. This is about the everyday
marketing jobs that eat your week: thinking up content\, writing the post
\, adapting it for three different platforms\, sounding like yourself\, an
d staying visible when you're already doing five other jobs in the busines
s.\n\nYou won't leave with a list of tools to look into some other time. Y
ou'll leave with one thing that works\, set up on your own laptop\, with y
our own business in it.\nWhat we'll cover\n- Giving an AI proper context a
bout your business\, so what it writes is specific and true rather than bl
and and generic\n- Writing posts\, captions and email copy that still soun
d like you\n- Creating images for your social posts\n- Turning one good id
ea into a week of content across the platforms you actually use\n- The saf
eguards — where AI gets things wrong\, and what to check before you hit
publish\n- The general principles\, so you can keep going long after the w
orkshop ends\n\nWho it's for\n\nOwners and managers of West Cork businesse
 s — shops\, cafés\, trades\, tourism\, sole traders — and the one per
son in a small team who ends up doing all the social media. No AI experien
ce assumed. Curiosity is enough.\n\nWhat to bring\n\nA laptop (not just a
phone — you'll be building things) and your social media logins. We'll e
mail you a short pack beforehand asking about your business\, which takes
about 15 minutes and makes the whole morning work. The tools we'll use are
free to sign up for and we'll tell you exactly which ones in that email.\
 n\nYour facilitator — Patrick Kiely\, Flux Learning\n\nPatrick has been
a digital skills trainer since 2008 and an instructional designer and lear
ning technologist since 2011. He has worked right across the education sec
tor\, from primary through to third level\, and with partners in industry\
, professional bodies and NGOs to deliver digital education tailored to th
eir learners.\n\nPatrick is a keen advocate of Proficiency-Based Progressi
on which\, based on the available published and peer-reviewed evidence\, i
s the most impactful training methodology available in training and develo
pment today.\n\nHe acted on that belief in 2017 when he co-founded Flux Le
arning Ltd with Greg Deane\, designing and delivering proficiency-based cu
rricula for clients in healthcare and industry. An experienced project man
ager\, Patrick is a firm believer in a pedagogical and learning-theory-led
approach to digital education — while remaining\, by his own admission\
 , a devout techie.\n\nPractical bits\n\n- Tea and coffee from 9:45 — com
e early and say hello\n- Free parking at the Aldi carpark\, a short walk f
rom Ludgate\n- 25 places only\, free to attend. If your plans change\, ple
ase cancel your ticket so someone else can come\n\nQuestions? Email gavin@
