Most small businesses know AI could help with their marketing. Very few have had someone sit down and show them how. That’s what this morning is for.
Join us at Ludgate Hub for a practical two-hour workshop on using AI for your marketing and social media, run by Patrick Kiely of Flux Learning.
There’s no coding and no jargon. This is about the everyday marketing jobs that eat your week: thinking up content, writing the post, adapting it for three different platforms, sounding like yourself, and staying visible when you’re already doing five other jobs in the business.
You won’t leave with a list of tools to look into some other time. You’ll leave with one thing that works, set up on your own laptop, with your own business in it.
What we’ll cover
– Giving an AI proper context about your business, so what it writes is specific and true rather than bland and generic
– Writing posts, captions and email copy that still sound like you
– Creating images for your social posts
– Turning one good idea into a week of content across the platforms you actually use
– The safeguards — where AI gets things wrong, and what to check before you hit publish
– The general principles, so you can keep going long after the workshop ends
Who it’s for
Owners and managers of West Cork businesses — shops, cafés, trades, tourism, sole traders — and the one person in a small team who ends up doing all the social media. No AI experience assumed. Curiosity is enough.
What to bring
A laptop (not just a phone — you’ll be building things) and your social media logins. We’ll email you a short pack beforehand asking about your business, which takes about 15 minutes and makes the whole morning work. The tools we’ll use are free to sign up for and we’ll tell you exactly which ones in that email.
Your facilitator — Patrick Kiely, Flux Learning
Patrick has been a digital skills trainer since 2008 and an instructional designer and learning technologist since 2011. He has worked right across the education sector, from primary through to third level, and with partners in industry, professional bodies and NGOs to deliver digital education tailored to their learners.
Patrick is a keen advocate of Proficiency-Based Progression which, based on the available published and peer-reviewed evidence, is the most impactful training methodology available in training and development today.
He acted on that belief in 2017 when he co-founded Flux Learning Ltd with Greg Deane, designing and delivering proficiency-based curricula for clients in healthcare and industry. An experienced project manager, Patrick is a firm believer in a pedagogical and learning-theory-led approach to digital education — while remaining, by his own admission, a devout techie.
