Established in 1911, The Irish Athletic Boxing Association’s (IABA) main role is to develop, foster and control amateur boxing in the 32 counties of Ireland.

The IABA are seeking to develop an application or digital tool to help move a boxer’s record card from hard copy/paper copy to digital or soft copy. This will in turn reflect

• a live record of all the tournaments and bouts the boxer has contested,
• their competitive level
• help document injuries such as Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and return to play protocol following a stoppage loss.

The digitisation of a boxer’s card aims to develop the grading of boxers at the different levels by parameters already existing in the sport. It will also allow for pre-tournament entry and checking of card in advance of a tournament.
