Boxing Ireland Challenge

April 15, 2026
2:00 pm
We are delighted to present a challenge from Boxing Ireland on Wednesday, 15th April at 2pm

Boxing Ireland is the all-island Governing Body of Ireland’s most successful Olympic sport. Home to over 360 boxing clubs across 32 counties, our membership exceeds 25,000 people, ranging in age from 5 to 80+.

Boxing Ireland is looking to identify and validate a computer vision/AI tool capable of delivering trustworthy, objective data on punch volume and outcome (thrown, landed, missed, blocked) that aligns with expert human analysis, ultimately enhancing training load assessment for international competition by 2026.

The Core Problem: While AI tools offer deep performance metrics, their reliability remains unproven against the Irish Boxing High Performance program’s bespoke analysis. The challenge is to determine which specific punch metrics are accurate enough to replace or augment conventional notational analysis, ensuring the data truly reflects competitive demands.

Desired Outcome: By 2026, the program will operate a trusted, usable system focused strictly on punch metrics (total thrown, landed, missed, blocked) to objectively measure external training load and match international competitive intensity.

We are delighted to present a challenge from The Printed Image on Thursday, 9th April at 3pm.The Printed Image is a dynamic, 100% Irish marketing solutions partner that has evolved from traditional printing into a comprehensive end-to-end service for brands. Committed to sustainability, the company delivers world-class campaigns through an integrated suite of services ranging from graphic design and packaging to signage and digital portals.

The Printed Image seeks an AI-powered integration layer to unify disparate IT systems and unlock the value of vast historical data on jobs, sales, and supply chains. Currently, siloed systems force staff into manual, repetitive workflows—such as manual estimating, invoice matching, and carbon footprint tracking—severely limiting efficiency and strategic insight.

The core challenge is to deploy an AI solution that overlays existing infrastructure to automate key processes without replacing current systems. Desired outcomes include: automated job estimating using historical trends; intelligent sales targeting based on client behavior; seamless purchase invoice processing; real-time Scope 1–3 emissions reporting; and an AI client bot for instant query resolution. By bridging data silos, The Printed Image aims to reduce administrative overhead, enhance profitability, and redirect staff talent toward high-value creative and strategic work.
